Since Sept 5, 5 of 18 one-star Trustpilot reviewers say accounts were closed or banned. Julien L (Sept 7) says he was removed Aug 27 over alleged copy trading between users, which he denies, with about $40,000 inside. Teodor Vrinceanu (Sept 10) says 3 funded accounts closed, 2 passes not activated. Alfonso C. (Sept 11) says his accounts were closed without explanation, denying claims of hedging and trading on another's profile. musen (Sept 17) says the account was banned without reason. Murat dorvilus (Sept 21) says his accounts were closed, told he took part in another's verification, which he says he has no idea of. Topstep replied to 61 of 62 five-star reviews since Sept 5, none of the 5.

Topstep draws 5 Trustpilot billing-error reports since Aug 27, one a $4,470 payout wired to another beneficiary

71 Trustpilot reviews published Aug 27 to Sep 5, 14 of them one-star. 5 describe payment-processing failures rather than the account-ban theme already on the board: two US reviewers on Aug 27 say the firm's payment processor charged their card a second time, one with the bank account pushed negative and a supervisor giving the same answer; a US reviewer on Aug 28 says an accounting error on the firm's side was taken from the card on file with under 24 hours' notice; a VN reviewer on Aug 31 says a $4,470 wire payout marked Funds Sent on Aug 5 never arrived, that the wire confirmation named a different beneficiary and account number, and that the payment was recalled with no date given; a GB reviewer on Sep 3 says a charge was taken three months after cancelling and a refund was refused. Topstep draws 8 one-star Trustpilot reviews alleging account bans and payout denials, Aug 18-20

Eight 1-star Trustpilot reviews hit Topstep from Aug 18 to Aug 20, 2026, against 11 five-star reviews in the same 3 days. One is the Wise payout-delay thread reported separately; one is a general customer-service complaint. The other 6 are single-author allegations of bans or payout problems, all marked Organic and not-verified by Trustpilot: a reviewer says her account was closed at payout time because the payment card was in her husband's name after months of accepted payments; a trader says his $150K funded accounts were closed when a stop loss failed to trigger on the TopstepX platform and Topstep rejected his screenshots; a Spanish-language reviewer says 5 funded accounts were eliminated without notice on a copytrading accusation he denies, after he withdrew over $15,000 across 6 profitable months; a reviewer says his first payout went to the wrong bank account number, his bank requires a Letter of Indemnity to return the funds, and Topstep refused to assist with recovery; a French-language reviewer says a $629 payout was confiscated and his account permanently banned after a facial-scan KYC alert he calls a false positive, triggered because a person stood beside him; and a reviewer says he and his friends were banned together for taking the same trades, writing "TOPSTEP BECOME TOPSCAM OR SCAMSTEP".
