He traded one account for seven months, reached the payout, and got an email instead of the money. AquaFunded told @FaesalSalisu on 21 August 2026 it had found copy trading, breached his account, and blacklisted his name and email.

His answer: "Why would I be copy trading anyone for 7 months".

AquaFunded's own help centre, dated 45 days before that email, says copy trading is allowed. The published Terms and Conditions the email cites carry no copy trading rule: zero mentions in 41,348 characters, read 22 September 2026.

Our read: the firm may hold a real case, and it has said in public how it builds one. This letter holds none of it.

Does AquaFunded allow copy trading?

Yes, with a limit. Copy trading means one account mirrors another's trades: same instrument, same direction, seconds apart. Its help centre article "Is copy trading allowed?", dated 7 July 2026, lists three permitted kinds.

AquaFunded help centre, 7 July 2026Status
Copy trading between AquaFunded accountsAllowed
Copy trading from Funded to Evaluation accounts and backAllowed
Copy trading between an AquaFunded account and external accountsAllowed
The limit on all threeOnly from personal accounts "legally bound to the account holder"
Trade copiers (companion article, same date)Permitted to manage your own AquaFunded accounts

That limit is the firm's real ground: AquaFunded can argue the matched accounts were not his. The email never argues it, and never names a counterparty.

What should a breach email tell you?

It should tell you what you did, so you can answer it. A Goat Funded Trader breach email another trader published on 7 September 2026 names dates, 21 trades, per-account match counts, an IP finding and an attached report. The AquaFunded letter carries none of that:

  1. No date, no date range.
  2. No trade count. The word instances is its only quantity.
  3. No counterparty, no account number.
  4. No IP address, device match or login record.
  5. No reference to any attachment or report.
  6. No appeal route, no end date on the blacklist.

It never mentions the payout either.

The AquaFunded breach email as @FaesalSalisu published it on 21 August 2026: copy trading detected, account in breach, name and email address blacklisted. Captured 8 September 2026

Why was the AquaFunded payout denied?

Because AquaFunded says it found copy trading, and pins that to "our established Terms and Conditions at AquaFunded". Its flat line: "Copy trading is strictly prohibited as it compromises the integrity of our platform." The help centre said the opposite 45 days earlier.

He published a spreadsheet of 56 rows: 23 highlighted for account 536257, and 33 for other accounts, 30 marked Copy and 3 marked Reverse, every counterparty masked to five characters like 8XXX5. Who made it, the document does not say.

The trade match report @FaesalSalisu published: 23 highlighted rows for account 536257 against 33 masked counterparty rows marked Copy or Reverse, dated March to August 2026. Captured 8 September 2026

One masked label, 5XXX8, reads Reverse against him on 14 and 15 July and Copy against him on 1 July and 4 June. A risk desk would call that normal: a coordination sweep hunts followers and people taking the other side. The complaint that survives is about the letter, not the sweep.

What does AquaFunded say about copy trading?

More than it did. On about 17 September 2026 the firm gave another trader its method: "we do not reject a payout or restrict an account based on one or two similar trades. We take into account the wider trading pattern".

It can show its working. One trader says he lost a $4,176.09 payout on the futures side. AquaFunded's reply of 9 September 2026 named the finding: the same device as other traders' accounts, repeated matches with the same traders, "exact matching trades alongside exact matching IP addresses".

That is the letter @FaesalSalisu never got.

Abdullah Farouk's one-star review, updated 4 May 2026, with the firm's reply of 1 May 2026 attached: decisions rest on a full assessment of account activity, not isolated trades. Trustpilot, captured 8 September 2026

AquaFunded answers on Trustpilot: its futures profile, aquafutures.io, carries the line "Replied to 60% of negative reviews". It claims "over $8 million in verified, tracked payouts", which nobody outside the firm has checked. 32 days on, no AquaFunded account has replied in his thread.

How many AquaFunded traders tell this story?

At least 25 public posts from at least 23 people, dated 17 February 2025 to about 19 September 2026. The grounds differ: copy trading, reverse trading, coordinated trading, a shared device or IP.

What repeats is the evidence. Sheldon Du Toit, 25 July 2026: his only proof was "a screenshot of a spreadsheet highlighting eight trades out of 50+ that were supposedly similar to another account". SIHLE SKHEPHE, 11 September 2026: "trade log screenshots containing completely redacted, anonymous account numbers (8XXX0, 8XXX8, etc.)". Same masking format.

AquaFunded sits at tier A, board score 44. It held 45 for 38 nightly readings, then slipped today. As of our 8 September check, our sentiment lane had never read one AquaFunded review. The A floor is 44: one point down is a B.

FAQ

Is AquaFunded a scam?

Not a label we put on a named firm. The record holds a breach email of 21 August 2026 citing copy trading and a blacklist. It holds a help centre article of 7 July 2026 saying copy trading is allowed, and published Terms with no copy trading rule. Those Terms incorporate an Aqua Funded Trader Agreement that nobody has published and that could carry one.

Also on the record: at least 25 posts from at least 23 people describing this kind of denial since 17 February 2025, and the firm's answer that it weighs the wider trading pattern.

Does AquaFunded allow copy trading?

Its help centre says yes, with a limit. The article "Is copy trading allowed?", dated 7 July 2026, permits copying between AquaFunded accounts, between funded and evaluation accounts, and between an AquaFunded account and external accounts. The limit: "only from personal accounts that are legally bound to the account holder".

The breach email calls copy trading strictly prohibited, with no reference to that limit.

What evidence does AquaFunded give when it denies a payout?

It differs case by case. @FaesalSalisu published a spreadsheet of 56 rows with every counterparty masked to five characters, and a breach email referring to no report, no dates and no trades. Two other traders describe the same kind of masked trade log.

In one case the firm named its finding in public, in a Trustpilot reply of 9 September 2026: matching trades, shared device indicators and matching IP addresses.
