Traders at Goat Funded Trader say the firm has added a step to its payout process that appears nowhere in its published rules: a verification interview, scheduled by email, that has to happen before a withdrawal is approved.

Complaints about payouts at the firm have climbed sharply. Across the Trustpilot reviews we captured, negative reviews mentioning payouts, withdrawals or KYC ran between zero and four a month through June. In July there were 21. In August, with the month not yet finished, there were 51.

Eight of those reviews describe an interview or video call standing between the trader and the money. Seven of the eight were posted since August 8.

What are traders actually reporting?

The clearest account comes from a review posted on August 24, quoted here verbatim:

"Gft has introduced a new rule that is not in their FAQ or company rules. When you request a payout they will send you an email claiming they need to conduct an interview with you to approve your withdrawal."

Other reviews from the same week describe the same shape of problem:

  • A trader who requested a payout on August 14 says the account was placed under review and that support did not attend the scheduled verification interview. Their review is titled "Unacceptable Delays and No-Show by Support Team for Urgent Verification Interview".
  • A trader says a payout of 1,080 USDT was rejected and the account blocked over what the firm called coordinated trading, and that appeals went unanswered.
  • A trader who requested a withdrawal on August 20 says they completed KYC the same day, then were asked to complete KYC again.

One review from August 21, titled "Tread lightly", places the same complaints on the firm's Discord: "Nearly constant barrage on Discord of users expressing serious frustration over delayed payouts, pending investigations, interview requirements, invalid IP address issues and copy-trading suspicions."

Does Goat Funded Trader's own documentation mention an interview?

No. Not in any public document we could find.

The firm's help centre article "How payouts work: eligibility, request, processing and arrival", updated within the past few weeks, sets out the process like this:

  • Requests are initiated from the dashboard
  • Requests "will be processed within 2 business days"
  • A minimum withdrawal of $100 applies
  • Payment goes out via Rise, Crypto, Skrill or bank transfer
  • The name on the trading account must match the name on the payout account

There is no interview step, no verification call, and no mention of one anywhere in that article.

Goat Funded Trader's own payout article, which documents a two business day process and no interview step

We also checked the firm's terms and conditions, its refund policy, its complaints policy and its help centre index. None of them mention an interview or a verification call.

That is the gap the reviewers are describing, and it is visible in the firm's own material.

Is this showing up anywhere other than Trustpilot?

Yes. A YouTube video published this month is titled "GOATFUNDED DENIED OUR PAYOUT: What Really Happened?", and TikTok posts from the same period carry similar complaints about accounts and payouts at the firm.

That matters for weighting. A cluster of complaints on one platform can be a bad week or a brigade. The same complaint appearing on Trustpilot, YouTube, TikTok and, by one reviewer's account, the firm's own Discord is harder to explain that way.

What does the firm say?

Goat Funded Trader has not published a statement about an interview requirement that we could find, and its documented payout process still describes two business days with no interview.

We were not able to capture the firm's replies to individual Trustpilot reviews. Our capture does not include company responses for any firm, so we cannot tell you whether Goat Funded Trader replied to these reviews or not. We are not reporting silence, because we did not check something that would establish it.

What does this establish, and what does it not?

It establishes that multiple traders, independently and within the same three weeks, describe a payout step that the firm's published rules do not contain, and that complaint volume about payouts at this firm rose sharply in July and again in August.

It does not establish that the rule does not exist. A firm can impose a verification step through its dashboard or by email without publishing it, and that would be consistent with everything above. What we can say is that it appears in none of Goat Funded Trader's public payout documentation.

It does not establish fraud, and we are not calling it that. A verification interview is a legitimate anti-abuse tool, and firms do face real coordinated trading. The issue traders are raising is not that the check exists, it is that it is not written down, it arrives after the payout request, and in the accounts above it came with delays, repeat KYC, and in one case a no-show by the firm.

It also does not describe the firm's futures arm. On August 25, Goat Funded Futures publicly announced 18,048 dollars in payouts to four named traders. Same brand, separate entity, and no part of the reporting above applies to it.

Where does this leave the firm on the board?

Goat Funded Trader's tier position is re-scored nightly from the full sentiment and tracker picture, not from any single story. Payout reliability is one of the heaviest inputs in that score, so a sustained run of payout complaints tends to move a firm down the board over days rather than in one jump. Check its firm page for the current position.

If you have a payout pending with the firm, the practical read is the one a reviewer gave on August 21: tread lightly, keep your own records of every request and every document you send, and do not assume a completed KYC is final.
